THEODORE IS DYING
THEODORE IS GREEN!
•Only independent film of 2010 to receive The Green Seal Award
•1st micro-budget film to ever be awarded The Green Seal
OVERVIEW
The Theodore is Dying production set out to become the first ultra-low budget film to be awarded a Green Seal by the Environmental Media Association (EMA) and the Green Seal Organization. Led by Becca Kenyon working as the Environmental Impact Coordinator, TID worked in overdrive to ensure that every possible measure was taken to make the the film and its production were as ‘green’ as possible.
Utilizing a digital production office, donations from like-minded companies, a reusable water bottle initiative, on-set recycling, and digital filmmaking to reduce the carbon footprint and waste generated by what is normally such a wasteful medium; Theodore is Dying successfully became the first ever ultra-low budget and the only independent film in 2010 to be granted the Green Seal Award from the EMA and Green Seal.
Such an achievement would not have been possible without contributions from our greening partners: 7th Generation, Earthshell, Lucky Brand Jeans, and GUESS?.
We thank the Environmental Media Association and Green Seal for recognizing our greening efforts and actions and for their continued support to green the film community.
